Welcome to my world!

Thank you so much for visiting C.W. Montgomery’s little corner of the Internet. I’m so glad you stopped by. The door is always open. Make yourself at home, kick off your shoes, relax, and stay for a while. Navigate through the site, though I’m still building on it.

I’m new to the literary world and still wiggling my big toe in this massive ocean filled with enormous talent, many of whom I love to read! If you stop by often, I’ll try to have more good stuff for you to check out. I want to start a blog on this site, too. So, make sure you check back to see what I’m writing about, what’s going on in my world, and some more good stuff.

Now, let’s get to the good part.

I’m an author. Yes. Sometimes, I can’t believe it myself. As an avid reader, I typically read, on average, 10 books per week. What? Yes, that’s exactly what my family says, but, listen… I’m retired. If I want to lazy around and read all day long, then I’ve earned that right. Don’t you think?

However, one day, the writer bug bit me! What had happened was… It came to me in the middle of the night. Was it a dream? I’m not sure, but I shot up out of bed and made a beeline for my laptop. I had to write about the experience. In my dream, I met Jenna Baker, asking me for help. Me? Of all people? A serial killer was on the loose and she was on the case. She was also maneuvering two men, and she needed my help. I know this sounds crazy, but listen… Some authors get book ideas in some of the craziest of ways…and this was mine.

Thirty days later, I was looking for an editor to help me polish the first book in the Jenna Baker Mystery Series, Roadkill. I’m happy to announce that Roadkill is now available in paperback, ebook, and audiobook, narrated by the talented Doane Grey.

Of course, I couldn’t stop there. Jenna would not leave me alone. So, she was assigned a murder case in The Hamptons. Something about a father and daughter competing for a yacht, big money, and big egos. So, just like with the first book, I pulled up beside Jenna as her ride-or-die and helped her solve the case of the Almighty Green.
